Selection depends on available space, pressure, movement, anchors and specific product data. A single sphere is normally more compact, while a double sphere provides a different flexibility profile.
?Can a standard rubber joint be installed on pump suction?
The minimum pressure and vacuum condition must first be confirmed. A joint selected only for positive-pressure service may deform inward.
?Are control rods always required on pump discharge?
Not always. Their need depends on pressure thrust, pipe anchors, allowable equipment loads and pullout risk.
?Should EPDM or NBR be used for clean water?
EPDM is generally evaluated first for clean water and circulation-water systems. NBR is more commonly evaluated for mineral oil and oil-containing media.
?Can a rubber joint eliminate water hammer?
No. Water hammer requires pump and valve control, surge-control equipment, air management and complete hydraulic-system design.
?Is the pump outlet size sufficient for a quotation?
No. Medium, temperature, pressure, flange standard, face-to-face length, movement, anchoring and restraint conditions are also required.
